In California, inspectors typically use the state-specific form mandated by the Structural Pest Control Board, but lenders may request both forms to meet financing requirements.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Our licensed inspectors can ensure your NPMA-33 Form is accurately completed, helping streamline your loan process and preventing costly delays.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In any of those scenarios, the NPMA-33 form must be completed and signed by a licensed termite inspector who has no personal or financial interest in the property or transaction. This form is filled out only after a thorough and complete inspection of the property, clearly indicating if there are any issues related to wood-destroying organisms (WDOs). WDOs are pests or conditions that can compromise the structural integrity of a building. Identifying these pests and conditions early can prevent costly damage and ensure a smoother real estate transaction.<\/p>\n<h3>They can include common pests like, but is not limited to:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Termites\n<ul>\n<li>Drywood Termites<\/li>\n<li>Subterranean Termites<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Wood-Boring Beetles\n<ul>\n<li>Powderpost Beetles<\/li>\n<li>Old House Borers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Carpenter Ants<\/li>\n<li>Carpenter Bees<\/li>\n<li>Wood-Decaying Fungi (Wood Rot)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One important thing to note is that the NPMA-33 form was updated in July 2019 by the National Pest Management Association. There were changes completed in the verbiage like changing \u201cor defects\u201d with: \u201cor wood destroying insect damage\u201d. It as well removed the section that asks if the is evidence of past treatment, among other important changes. You can see all of the changes that were done on their <a href=\"https:\/\/npmapwcdn-afabcafzhkfnebcs.z02.azurefd.net\/media\/xqsbovdk\/changes-to-revised-npma-33-form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Outline of Revisions to the updated NPMA-33 WDI Report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Some of the information that needs to be filled out includes:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Section I. General Information\n<ul>\n<li>This includes the termite inspector and company information and signature.<\/li>\n<li>It will as well include the address of the property that this form is being completed for.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Section II. Inspection Findings\n<ul>\n<li>It will include any findings that were found during the inspection.<\/li>\n<li>This can be either visible insects (either dead or alive), and any damage that has been created by any wood destroying insect.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Section III. Recommendations\n<ul>\n<li>In this section, your termite inspector will provide its recommendations to resolve any issue that was found<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Section IV. Obstructions and Inaccessible Areas\n<ul>\n<li>Any areas that are not accessible during the inspection will be listed in this section.<\/li>\n<li>They vary from a sealed-off attic space to cluttered spaces, cabinets or shelving, also things like furniture or storage items, among others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Section V. Additional Comments and Attachments\n<ul>\n<li>In this section, your inspector can include any additional comments that he believes should be considered.
